Southland Holdings is currently accepting resumes for experienced Field Engineer Intern for our El Paso Texas division.

　　Responsibilities/Duties:

　　Assists the Project Manager with required documents and information to support the successful completion of construction activities.

　　Attends construction project meetings and safety meetings as assigned Other Skills and Abilities

　　Serves as resource for project specifications, procedures, relevant portions of contract, etc.

　　Collects measurements and information to compare to contract documentation to depict changes, requests for information, etc.

　　Evaluates change order requests including design changes, specifications and drawing releases and reports status.

　　Completes project close out requirements in accordance with contract documents.

　　Maintains effective and professional relationships with owners, Engineers, vendors and contractors.

　　Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

　　Requirements:

　　Preferred 0-1+ years of highway construction field experience, DOT and must be proficient with AutoCAD 

　　Bilingual preferred (Spanish and English)

　　Going to school for B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

　　Responsible for learning construction practices as required for compliance with federal, state, and local codes; industry standards; company procedures; contractual requirements; etc.

　　Must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and agree to a post offer drug test.

　　Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and specialty bridge design software; must be proficient with MS Office.

　　P6 Experience preferred.

　　Must be physically capable of navigating rugged terrain & climbing for the purpose of performing the duties outlined above.
