MWH Constructors (MWHC) is currently seeking a Field Engineer to support amulti-million-dollar wastewater treatment plant project in Gypsum, CO.MWHC provides construction management-at-risk, constructionmanagement-as-agent, design-build and general contracting services for waterand wastewater facilities.The Field Engineer will provide technical and field support to projectmanagement and project supervision staff to ensure construction work isperformed efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with company policyand engineering standards.Essential FunctionsWork in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employeesfollowing the company health and safety guidelines and policies.Assist with construction layout, material and equipment procurement,submittal review, manpower scheduling, quantity takeoffs, documentcontrols, material purchases, deliveries and inventory, and project controls.Perform ongoing field and quality inspections; verify all completed workcomplies with applicable work plans, permits, codes, drawings, andspecifications.Prepare and disseminate required documentation records such as materials andequipment submittals, status reports, sketches of work completed,material requirement calculations, etc., to supervisor.Prepare drawings and sketching's to support construction work, temporaryworks, work method statements, change orders, estimates, etc.Prepare/facilitate and submit work method statements, ensure requisiteapprovals and permits are obtained prior to work commencement.Provide in the field support to supervision and craft labor to facilitate theplanned and safe execution of construction activities and lead selectedactivities as required or directedResearch and recommend resolutions to drawing interpretation problems,conflicts, interferences, and errors initiate RFI's and follow throughto resolution.Layout and provide necessary building control lines and elevations foraccurate measurement and correct installation of materials.Review incoming correspondence and initiate action on it, review and processsubcontractor's pay applications, review of the project schedule,process RFI's and produce weekly and monthly construction progress reports.Assist with review and analyze contractor claims, prepare change orders,and manage claims and change order records.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil, Mechanical,Electrical or Process Engineering or related field; an equivalentcombination of time served construction experience, skills and training mayalso be considered as an equitable qualification.0-5 years of construction, design and/or field support experience/knowledge.Working knowledge of construction equipment techniques, drawings andspecifications, building materials, and required standards applicable todiscipline.Ability to manage interfaces and communicate effectively with others.Familiarity with Project Management data base systems such as CMiC, P6,Bluebeam, CAD, Expedition, SharePoint, etc.Preferred QualificationsPrior field experience on construction projectsOnsite experience with a self-performing contractor, demonstratingsuccessful performance on projects greater than $10M is a plus.Prior Survey experienceBenefitsHealth Insurance (medical, dental and vision).100% Company Paid Benefits: Employee Life & AD&D, Spouse andDependent Life & AD&D, STD, LTD, Employee Assistance Program andHealth AdvocatVoluntary Benefits at a Discounted Group Rate.Flexible Time Off Policy (includes vacation, sick and personal time).Paid Parental Leave Program.10 Paid Holidays.401(k) Plan (company matching contributions up to 4%).Employee Referral Program.CompensationThe anticipated salary range for this role is $80,000 -$95,000/yr., based on experience.MWH Constructors is a global project delivery company with a focus on waterand energy.
