Catholic Community Services, Family Behavioral Health is looking for a Family Support Specialist to join our team of innovators who continually "push the envelope" and challenges traditional thinking in Behavioral Health.

WHAT WE OFFER:
Starting Base Pay Range:$29.55-$33.24 per hour
Availability Pay for coverage after hours:$75.00 per pay period (2 times per month)
BENEFITS:
12 paid holidays; plus 1 personal holiday each year!
3 weeks vacation per year (Accrued by the end of the 1st year)

Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
We providefamily, strength-based mental health services for children and families in their own home and community. Our enthusiastic clinical teams provide whatever is needed to help children and youth remain safely in their own home with their family, restoring hope and promise, providing intense mental health services and supports, and helping to strengthen the family unity.
The Family Support Specialist is responsible for providing and implementing prescribed mental health treatment strategies, crisis response and de-escalation as needed, as well as Crisis Plan implementation. In addition, the FSS incorporates recovery-oriented wellness and individualized skill building strategies. This position provides one-on-one mental health treatment strategies and services to high-risk children, youth and their families in the family home, therapeutic foster home, and/or community locations (e.g. during crisis in emergency departments, crisis response or behavioral observation and assessment in home and schools, etc.). The FSS works with the youth and family to participate in community safety and wellness activities during times of stabilization. This position requires the skills and abilities to assess safety and risk 'in-the-moment' in crisis situations while providing assistance and while accessing additional support as needed. Mentoring and coaching/implementing behavioral support, treatment and safety/crisis plans in the home and community is a strong component.
This position will be based out of the FBH Portland office, which may include some working from home, with scheduling flexibility to provide services to youth and families in the community and in their homes, as needed.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING IN A CANDIDATE:
Age 21 or older per DSHS requirements.
Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, human development or related field; or Associate degree in social services, mental health or related degree and three years’ experience serving children and/or families (mental health, social services, education, etc.) may substitute for Bachelor's Degree.
Ability to drive to our family homes within the community with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance with an acceptable driving record per CCS policy.

Enthusiastic and optimistic approach, encouraging ongoing participation of all involved.
Natural ability to work with others through a genuine strengths-based approach, appreciating unique qualities and assets of all involved.

Ability to drive to our family homes and within the community, with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance with an acceptable driving record per CCS policy.
Ability to visually assess safety within family homes and in the community.
Applicant must successfully pass required background clearances prior to an offer of employment.
