Workers are neededto plant, maintain and harvest various culinary and medicinal herbs.Workers will perform field work and greenhouse work including planting,transplanting, weeding, thinning, hoeing and other tasks required in theplanting, maintaining, and harvesting of various herb crops. Workerswill sort, wash, pack and otherwise prepare various crops for storageand shipping. Workers will perform other farm-related duties includingthe following: load and unload trucks and other farm vehicles, setup andoperate irrigation equipment, and cut brush and other vegetation in andaround fields, buildings and equipment. Workers must be able to work invarious extreme weather conditions from damp and cold spring and falldays to hot and humid summer days. Workers may operate trucks or othermulti-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on oroff farm) to the farm properties, haul tools, supplies, or crops;transport workers from place to place around the farm properties duringthe workday (including on
public roads to reach farmers fields); and/or transport workers to thegrocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis.Driver\'s license is required. Work is physically demanding requiringworkers to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time.Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequentbasis. Workers must be available for work Monday through Saturday. Dailybeginning and ending times will vary depending on crop and otherconditions. Workers may require to work 7 hours shift within the hoursof 8:00am - 7:00pm from Monday through Friday and may work 5 hours shiftwithin the hours of 8:00am - 7:00pm on Saturdays. Worker will be givenat least 30 minutes
for lunch. The employer will furnish to workers without cost all toolsand equipment required to perform assigned duties. Beginning and endingtimes may vary depending upon weather and crop conditions. Workers mustbe able to take direction in simple English.
