Temporary full-time position from 3/1/2024 to 11/15/2024Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment including changing wheel lines; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as barley, wheat, canola, hay; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer?s fields, load employer?s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Provide UAN to pivots; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools.In view of the statutorily established basic function of the Employment Service (ES) as a no-fee labor exchange that is as a forum for bringing together employers and job seekers, neither the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) nor the State Workforce Agencies (SWA) are guarantors of the accuracy or truthfulness of information contained on job orders submitted by employers.
