Consultants please conduct a seated interview. Applicants must have 20days experience with Farm / Irrigation / Livestock work. Applicantshired must be able to obtain a valid driver\'s license as driving onpublic roads may be required. Applicants must be able to lift up to 100pounds. Dates of need are (3/16/2024 11/1/2024) This order is for workin Castleford, Idaho area. Job duties may require a split shift. Workerwill be required to perform a variety of duties related to theproduction of hay, grain, corn, beans and cattle. The majority of thework activities during the overall contract period, however, will berelated to general farm work/irrigation/crop production. General FarmWork will include the following responsibilities: maintain, drive,attach and operate farm implements/tractors/equipment to till soil,plant, cultivate, fertilize and harvest crops; make minor mechanicaladjustments and repairs on farm machinery; remove undesirable and excessgrowth from crops or farm grounds; remove rocks from field; performgeneral clean up of farm areas; drive, load/unload trucks; operate motorbike or all-terrain vehicle in the course of performing duties.Irrigation duties will include the following: Hand lines: connectpipes;check alignment of pipe and adjust for proper waterdistribution;attach lines to water supply; turn on pump;turn valves tostart flow of water; disassemble lines and carry pipes across fields atspecified intervals; move pipes through freshly irrigated crops and/orplowed fields where mud may be deep at times;lift and carry pipesections weighing approximately 40 pounds on a sustained basis. Pivots:push on switch that activates circle sprinkler system. Flood Irrigation:lift gate in side of flooded irrigation ditch/pipe permitting water toflow into bordered section of field; shovel and pack dirt in low spotsof embankment or cut trenches in high areas to direct water flow; closegate in ditch/pipe when bordered section is flooded; open gate orconnect pipe to underground pipe system that releases water flow intoreservoir or ditch; siphon water from flooded reservoir or ditch tochannel water into designated areas; shovel or hoe soil to clearditches/furrows and build embankments to appropriately channel water;mix and apply proper solutions to fill holes/cracks in pipes, ditches,and spillways, and make minor repairs to metal, concrete, and woodenframeworks in pipe and ditch valves and gates. Duties related to theproduction of livestock will include the following: check physicalcharacteristics, observe general condition of livestock and apply theappropriate care; examine animals to detect illness/injury/disease, rateof weight gain or to determine delivery time, assist in delivery; applyor administer medications, vaccines and/or insecticides; mixfeed/additives and feed/water livestock; place mineral blocks; driveequipment to haul/distribute feed/water; herd livestock; dock, castrate,brand, clip/tag and clamp livestock; hoist/stack bales of hay ontowagon/truck
