  Job Type: Officer of AdministrationRegular/Temporary: RegularHours Per Week: 35Salary Range: $82,000-$90,000The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

  Position Summary

  Reporting to the Executive Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, the Associate Director of Admissions assists in executing recruitment, admissions, and enrollment management strategies aimed at meeting specific enrollment goals and enrolling a high-quality, diverse student body that enhances the reputation of the School of International and Public Affairs. The Associate Director is responsible for managing prospect inquiries and applications and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that includes pre-admission counseling to prospective applicants for all School programs. The Associate Director manages the enrollment of admitted students and oversees planning and execution of yield events and associated campaigns. The incumbent serves as a member of the team responsible for Slate project management, including developing, tracking and reporting on key admissions and enrollment metrics. The incumbent trains and supervises graduate program assistants, and casual and work-study employees to ensure high quality customer service and accurate and efficient information dissemination.

  Responsibilities

  Proposes, executes, and evaluates prospective student outreach/recruitment strategies.

  Works as part of the Admissions team to develop and implement a comprehensive communication and recruitment event strategy to assist prospective students and applicants throughout the admissions process.

  Works collaboratively with the Admissions team, faculty, and other School administrators to address outreach and recruitment issues and opportunities.

  Develop strategies to enhance the School's diversity recruitment efforts.

  Develops and implements a recruitment events plan for SIPA-specific as well as externally sponsored recruiting events.

  Makes targeted efforts to recruit applicants from diverse backgrounds via open houses, college fairs, information sessions, symposiums, individual advising, telephone inquiries, online chats/open houses, etc.

  Develops and implements virtual recruitment programs designed to attract and recruit high-caliber students, specifically international students.

  Assists with the development and implementation of yield events with the purpose of reaching defined enrollment targets.

  Plans, coordinates, and executes Admitted Students' Day and other yield events for the 21-month Master's degree programs.

  Conducts surveys and analyzes data from student participation at these events.

  Develops and supervises the SIPA Admissions Ambassador program which is made up of student volunteers who support the Admissions Office's recruitment efforts.

  Serves on the SIPA Admissions Committee which evaluates over 3,000 applications annually.

  Participates as a member of the scholarship committees for entering and continuing students in the School's degree programs and makes scholarship recommendations as needed.

  Performs related duties as assigned.

  Minimum Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent.A minimum of three years of directly related experience in Admissions or Student Affairs in a university setting.Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and organizational skills.Experience with Slate or similar CRM platforms.Must be detail-oriented and able to act with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.Must have demonstrated experience in making public presentations.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs.Demonstrated experience in data analysis and presentation.Ability to successfully represent the School and maintain cooperative relationships at the University level and externally with other schools, universities, and institutions.Prior supervisory experience.Creative mindset open to exploring and advancing innovative strategies for recruitment and yield efforts.Must be able to travel (domestically and internationally) and work weekends and evenings as needed.Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and multiple responsibilities.Must be able to handle confidential information in a professional manner and use sound judgment at all times.Standard Work Schedule: Hybrid schedule (3 days/week on-site).Preferred Qualifications

  Master's degree highly preferred.
