　　Basic Job Requirements:

　　Lifting requirement 70 lbs, Exposure to extreme temperatures, Extensivepushing or pulling, Extensive sitting or walking, Frequent stooping orbending over, Repetitive movements.

　　Time will be given for breaks. Possible Saturdays.

　　Job Duties:

　　Workers will be required to perform a variety of duties related to theproduction, care, planting, of nursery stock throughout the contractperiod. Loading, unloading, wrapping, mulching, arranging, harvesting,inventory of plant materials to include trees, shrubs, rooted cuttings,perennials vegetables. Preparing soils, seed beds. Workers will usemechanical equipment and hand tools, to include Tractors, Skid loaders,Wheel loader, Excavator, Backhoe, Tillers, Rippers, land planes, dropseeders, Grain drills and other misc. farm implements along with handtools, shovels, pickax, rakes. All tools will be provided to the worker.Operators of equipment will have the responsibility to maintain, drive,operate, attach farm implements, all operators will be trained on safeoperation and daily service requirements. Hand weeding, hoeing, of allcrops and areas. Fertilizing of plant materials with organic matter andcommercially blended products, by means of motorized, tractor, andwalking spreader, hand. Pruning of grasses, shrubs, trees, perennials,vegetables, to promote good branching, yields, and appearance by meansof power pneumatic, hedge trimmers, hand pruners, shears. Sprayingherbicide, per-emergent (all workers will be trained in proper PPE andsupervision and training by licensed qualified supervisor). Generaltasks during the contract period will include building/repair of shadeand trellis structures, installing cold frames, green house, mowing,maintaining shop and yard areas. Cleaning of drainage ways, roadshoulders, and ditches, installation of erosion blankets, fabric, andwattles. Identify Irrigation systems repairs by general observation ofplant health, installation of water delivery systems to include, pumps,mainlines, laterals, rotating heads, and fixed sprays, low volume dripsystems, above and below surface, siphon tube, gated pipe, by means ofexcavators, trenchers, and shovels. Piping systems to include PVCsolvent weld, gasket, HDPE fusion, threaded, remote control valves, gatevalves, gated, pivot, automated controllers. Workers will be encouragedto obtain a drivers license to operate company vehicles, but this is nota mandate for employment. All resident or previous license holdersdrivers must provide a copy of motor vehicle record (MVR) for insuranceapproval. Physical requirements include: the ability to work in allweather conditions, standing for extended periods, walking on unevensurfaces, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, twisting, anddriving/riding equipment over unimproved terrain. Previous experienceoperating equipment, Manual labor, irrigation, Pruning, and sprayingpesticides.
