Date of Need: 4/1/2024 to 12/1/2024 1. Workers should have 1 monthexperience in apple and vegetable duties. Job duties include driving andoperating farm machinery to plant, cultivate, maintain and harvestproduce. Attach, adjust and maintain farm implements to tractors anddrive tractors to the field to prepare the soil. Plant, maintain, prune,harvest, process and pack crops. Maintain and harvest crops using handand hand held equipment. Know when to irrigate crops using methodsappropriate for the crop and location. Set up irrigation, identifyplants, pest and weeds to determine the selection and application ofpesticides and fertilizers. Apply general use pesticides or anyrestricted use pesticides under the direct supervision of a licensedapplicator. Drive farm trucks and equipment over the road to maintainand harvest crops. Workers will operate trucks or other multi-purposevehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) tothe farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workersfrom place to place around the farm properties during the workday(including on public roads to reach farmer\'s fields); and/or transportworkers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on anas-needed basis. Driver\'s License may be required. Workers shouldreport to work with their own suitable work clothing. Workers must bewilling to work in varied weather conditions, including temperatures aslow as 25 degrees with snow up to one foot deep and as high as 90degrees with damp mornings. Work requires long periods of standing,bending and kneeling, as well as climbing ladders for long periods oftime. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on afrequent basis and be available to work Monday through Saturday. Workersmay require to work 8 hours shift within the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pmfrom Monday through Friday. Employer will furnish to workers withoutcost all tools and equipment required to perform duties assigned. Workerwill be given at least 30 minutes for lunch. Beginning and ending timeswill vary depending on the conditions in the orchard. Workers must beable to take directions in simple English.
