Equipment that workers may be required to operateincludes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements,equipment that utilizes GPS and auto-guidance systems, sprayers,combines, back-hoes, mowers, track-hoes; spreaders, tillage equipment,dirt moving equipment, and farm trucks. Non CDL farm trucks will beloaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storagefacilities. Job requires participating in irrigation activitiesincluding laying pipe, walking length of irrigation pipe to puncture itat set intervals, setting up and operating irrigation equipment,clearing and maintaining irrigation ditches, operating well motors,operating and maintaining pivots, draining excess water from fields, andmonitoring fields to check on and maintain adequate water supply tocrops. Manual duties include loading seed into planters; properly mixingchemicals; loading chemicals into sprayers; changing combine cuttingheads; rouging fields and using hand tools to remove undesirable plantvarieties, trash, and other objects from fields; performing generalmaintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points,buildings, and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas areorganized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair,clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machineryand agricultural equipment; regularly servicing equipment; and trimmingas needed around the worksite; receiving crop for drying and storage atgrain storage facility; disposing of spoiled grain; transporting grainfrom fields to grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks whilekeeping grain level; operating augers and grain conveying equipment;monitoring grain moisture levels; preparing scale tickets; and shovelinggrain. There are few typical days and workers may be required to changeduties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions.Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions.The employer reserves the right to increase workers\' pay or providebonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solelybased on the discretion of the employer.
Housing is provided. Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence isalso offered. Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers,from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-uppoints to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday andback at the end of each work day.
