Head Start supports school readiness and promoteshealthy families through delivery of education, health, and socialservices. Head Start also provides quality training and support toemployee\'s individualized professional growth and development. RutlandCount Head Start also offers Early Head Start programming for infantsand toddlers.

  Job Summary:

  We are looking for an experienced manager to lead the Family Servicesprogram at Rutland County Head Start and Early Head Start. This positionis a leadership position at Rutland County Head Start and involvessupporting families and children with adverse experiences includingpoverty and homelessness. The Family Services Manager develops programsand systems to generate resources through strong community partnerships,creates leadership opportunities for families, and collaborates with theeducation and health programs at Head Start. The ideal Family ServicesManager is an excellent mentor and supervisor to Family Advocates andcollaborates well with other managers and staff.

  Primary responsibilities include development and oversight of familyengagement activities, selection and implementation of parentingcurriculum, and developing the program\'s case management systems. Itincludes content-area monitoring, and supervision for Family Advocateswho partner directly with families.

  The ideal candidate will demonstrate solid experience with supervisionand have exceptional communication and organizational skills.Flexibility, responsibility, and problem solving are essential in thisposition. Some travel throughout Rutland County will be required, andout of county for professional development opportunities. This positionis part of the management team, regular, full-time, exempt. Salary isdependent on education and experience (\$60K - \$68K).

  Minimum Qualifications:

  - B.A/B.S Degree in Human Services, Sociology or related field required(Advanced degree preferred)

  - Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience, demonstratingmentorship and staff development skills

  - Experience partnering families and children and supporting familystabilization, child development, and family aspirations

  - Ability to establish community partnerships to develop resources tosupport families

  - Ability to collaborate with other managers, community partners,staff, governing bodies, and Head Start professionals.

  - Experience working with county, state and federal auditors

  - Strong organizational and project management skills

  - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to writeprofessional communication for internal and external partners

  - Demonstrated strong proficiency with computer applications includingWindows 10, Microsoft Office, and remote support tools

  - Must have a valid driver\'s license, reliable transportation withpersonal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levelsmandated by the State of Vermont.

  - *Successful completion of a criminal history background check afterhire.
