Essential functions (job duties):
Develop course level learning objectives that align with institutional competency domains.
Collaborate with other course directors to ensure horizontal and vertical Integration of the curriculum.
Develop and deliver pathology and pathophysiology content within the preclerkship courses.
Teaching in other courses within your area(s) of expertise.
Facilitating small groups.
Develop and Implement learner assessments.
Engage in medical education research and related scholarly work.
Participate and contribute to various WSUSOM academic committees.
Experience in organizing and facilitating small groups, ability to use modem technology to engage learners in the classroom and remotely, knowledge in multiple modes of assessments, and interest in educational scholarship is highly preferred.
Unique duties:
Qualifications:
MD, DO, or PhD (PhD in one of basic science disciplines preferred) with demonstrated expertise in pathology.
If MD degree, a valid Michigan Medical License is required. When applicable, board certification and the ability to
obtain a Michigan Medical License.
Rank commensurate with credentials.
Understanding of educational pedagogy as it relates to medical education.
Experience developing medical school pre-clinical courses.
Experience managing professionals In a complex organization.
Experience working with diverse students or diverse populations.
