Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: You will be responsible for maintenance and asset management, implementation of the Environmental Review Guide for Operations (ERGO), services contract support, and for billing and tracking of tolls received for the use of the CIDMMA. Responsibilities Develop and implement life cycle management plans for all Operations Branch facilities and related equipment. Carrie out a wide range of strategic communications, coordination, facilitation, and problem solving. Work collaboratively with various facility project managers and Chiefs to develop and submit budgets for short and long-term asset management requirement. Serve as the Norfolk District Operations Branch point of contact for all matters related to asset management. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Managing the asset and maintenance management program for an organization; Applying administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to asset and maintenance management; Performing detailed analyses of asset and maintenance management requirements and conditions, cost/benefit analyses, and formulating feasibility and sustainability assessments; Comparing different acquisition paths and carrying forward the most effective acquisition strategies to meet mission needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
