  Summary

  The Sr. Facilities Technician maintains and repairs the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, which may include plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary.

  Position Responsibilities

  Receives and completes daily Track-It™ facilities work orders which include, but are not limited to: minor electrical/lighting, plumbing, drywall, painting and ceiling tile repairs

  Provides support on construction, repair, and maintenance activities such as landscaping, framing, modular assembly (cubicles), fabrication, painting, HVAC, plumbing and electrical

  Supports all department moves, additions, or changes, including inter-office transportation

  Operates a forklift to relocate materials and tooling

  Utilize aerial platforms such as scissor and boom lifts in order to repair equipment such as lighting and banners

  Conference room / special event setup. Custodial maintenance support (in the event of an emergency)

  Works on preventative maintenance on all equipment such as machinery, building electrical systems, plumbing, modular systems, HVAC, etc

  Assists in monthly EH&S inspections and maintaining a safe work environment

  Assists with processing waste streams such as recycling, universal waste, and hazardous materials

  May need to assist other departments in order to meet milestones or deadlines

  Other duties as assigned

  Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

  Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent

  Minimum of 6+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  Experienced and proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  Strong knowledge of and adherence to shop safety practices

  Strong oral and written communication skills

  Experienced and proficient with the use of hand tools and machinery related to Facilities Maintenance

  Experienced using a forklift

  Experienced performing common building repairs such as plumbing, light carpentry, painting, electrical, fabrication, etc

  Valid California driver's license with clean driving record

  Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience)

  Vocational training is preferred

  Contributes to the development of techniques for problem-solving. Completes complex tasks in creative and effective ways

  Works on complex assignments requiring independent action and high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures

  Acts independently to determine methods & procedures on new assignments. Acts as team leader

  Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties

  Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives

  Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products

  Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company

  Has effective leadership, problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills

  Focuses on teamwork, collaboration and puts the success of the team above one's own interests

  Physical Demands

  Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment (Constant)

  Ability to lift and move objects of varying sizes and shapes up to 50 lbs. (Occasionally)

  Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequently)

  Required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear (Frequently)

  The salary range for this role is:

  $34 - $51
