　　Job Description

　　The Facilities Technician performs a variety of maintenance duties insupport of laboratory and facility operations. Assists in otherdepartments as needed.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Performs standard preventative maintenance proceduresMonitors and maintains building facilities (HVAC, refrigeration, andventilation equipment)Troubleshoots and repairs various laboratory equipmentProvides materials list to supervisor to maintain a stock of repairparts in-house and maintenance suppliesStocks all copy machines with paper on a weekly basisCompletes weekly walk-thru of building for fluorescent bulbreplacementOversees receiving and storing of laboratory suppliesPerforms miscellaneous errands, purchasing parts for the lab,janitorial suppliesServes as emergency call backup if Facilities Manager is not onsiteAll other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management teamQualifications

　　Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ): To perform this jobsuccessfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of theknowledge, skill or ability required.

　　Education/Experience (BMQ):

　　Education: High school diploma or equivalent

　　Experience: Basic maintenance experience in:

　　HVACPlumbingRefrigerationElectricalAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely withoutrestriction or sponsorship

　　Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):

　　Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical maintenance. Workingknowledge of HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repair.Communication skillsOrganizational skillsAbility to prioritizeAbility to multi-taskAbility to work with minimal supervisionAdditional Information
