Primary Objective:
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician
Requires at least 1-2 years experience in commercial building maintenance:
HVAC Certification
Boiler License
Experience with Automated Climate Control Systems
Chiller experience
Electrical Maintenance
Security Systems
Computerized systems experience required
Major Areas of Accountability:
Maintains and repairs all assigned equipment in a professional, safe and timely manner.
Assists with the operation of the Facility Automation System to provide proper climate control, security, and monitoring in the building.
Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to, incandescent and LED/fluorescent bulbs and tubes, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools. Assists electrician as needed.
Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g., replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of
drains, and assisting laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).
Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks. Overall handyman “basic hand tool ability along with minor plumbing experience
Recommends to supervisor, capital equipment and tool expenditures needed to provide desired level and quality of departmental services.
Keeps informed on new products, equipment, and improved maintenance procedures and methods.
Communicates effectively with all company personnel and outside contractors.
Assists supervisor with the following:
Keeps accurate inventory control of parts and supplies needed for preventative and curative maintenance.
Organizes maintenance areas and facilities to insure optimum use of materials and time.
Provide adequate and complete information to mainframe to insure an optimum computerized preventative maintenance program.
Follows approved safety practices; provides ideas for improving safety as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
1-2 years relevant general facilities experience.
Ability to work on own without supervision.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and push / pull 100 pounds.
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and work from heights up to 30 feet.
Ability to stand approximately 90% of the time.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer service oriented.
Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
Ability to use common tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
