  Job Summary

  This Program Coordinator position is to work as a team member with allExtension staff in responding to local requests for information andassisting with program delivery support. This position will coordinateANR programs for Livingston, McLean, and Woodford counties

  Duties & Responsibilities

  Ag and Natural Resources

  1. Perform the following Ag and Natural resources duties includingbut not limited to:

  Identifies critical priority needs and issues, with the assistanceof other staff, to be addressed through ANR programs.

  Assists the ANR Educators in the planning of educational activitiesin ANR in conjunction with other staff and volunteers.

  Assists the Local Food Systems/Small Farms Educator in the planningand prep of test plot work sites.

  Facilitates the planning of educational activities in ANR inconjunction with other staff and volunteers.

  Assists with the development of marketing plans and goals to recruittargeted ANR -participants for educational activities; assemblemailing database; and develops advertising and publicity, includingSocial Media; for the activities in conjunction with Educators, andUnit Publicity and Promotion Specialist.

  Educate general public about ANR program offerings, includingcreating and setting up displays on the ANR program atcounty/community fairs and festivals.

  Networks and/or collaborates with appropriate designated communityorganizations and groups to assess needs and develops educationalactivities to address those needs.

  Coordinates the logistics and activities for specificprogram-related tasks, such as travel arrangements, food, equipment,facilities, and other supplies.

  Assists in formulating and insuring the implementation of standardoperating procedures for program activities, including guidelines toinsure the safety and welfare of participants.

  Data reporting

  Conducts the evaluation of program activities, develops impactstatements, and recommends continuation, modification, ordiscontinuance of the program. Prepare Program Reports and pressreleases, and distribute to Publicity and Promotion Specialist.

  Works with staff and volunteers to collect, process, and maintainprogram records and data.

  Submit contact reports, activity reports and program reports on amonthly basis.

  Misc

  Assists with the development and maintenance of financial support(i.e. grant writing and fundraising) for the conduct of the programactivi y.

  Complies with all Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunitypolicies and guidelines in all aspects of Extension work; assistsUnit staff with data collection for Affirmative Action, Gender,Race, Ethnicity and Targeted reports.

  Performs other related duties as assigned by County ExtensionDirector and ANR Educators.

  Participates in staff development and professional developmentopportunities.

  Additional Physical Demands

  To perform the functions of this position, the employee will be requiredto perform work both within an office and outside in the communitiesthat are served, and must have the capability to travel from onelocation to the other in a timely fashion. Employee is responsible forsecuring personal transportation. A valid driver\'s license ispreferred. Some work will be required during evenings and/or weekends.When working, the employee may be exposed to a variety of environmentalfactors to include, but not limited to, hot or cold weather, exposure tonoise and allergens, and uneven ground. In performing the functions ofthis position, the employee may be subjected to various mental andphysical demands as well to include, but not limited to, independentlytraveling to and performing work at different locations, lifting andmoving items that may occasionally weigh up to forty (40) pounds andfrequently weigh up to twenty (20) pounds, and twisting
