PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Serves as the AgronomyOperations intern under the direction of location management, trains andassists with general Agronomy functions to learn the foundation of thesystem and industry prepare for future career. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations. * Assist withfacility and equipment maintenance and repair. * Visit FS locations andcustomers building professional relationships. * Operate field researchand crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting. * Apply cropnutrition and crop protection products. * Gain understanding andexperience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control. OTHER JOBFUNCTIONS * Follows GROWMARK\'s Code of Conduct and CorporateCompliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOTpolicies and procedures, as they apply. * Performs all other duties asassigned. REQUIREMENTS * Must be pursuing a degree or certificationfrom a community college, technical college or university and in goodacademic standing at time the internship begins. * Must have ability toobtain a CDL and commercials applicator\'s license with requiredendorsements, a satisfactory driving record, and valid medical card. *Demonstrates ability to work independently. * Demonstrates essentialabilities including communication, customer focus, decision making, andskill development. * Must have and maintain a valid driver\'s licenseand satisfactory driving record. * Must be able to travel independentlyand overnight when necessary. * Frequently required to lift 51-70pounds as needed. * Frequently exposed and required to work in extremeweather conditions (heat, cold, wet, etc.), as well as working atvarious heights or elevated platforms. * Ability and willingness toparticipate in required training that may include education onGROWMARK\'s policies and procedures and additional training as itrelates to the requirements of the position.
