CLA is looking to hire an Experienced Audit Associate to join our growing Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) audit practice, at our Baltimore, MD location. CLA is the leading provider of employee benefit plan audits (per DOL statistics) and continues to grow with building a national Hub of employee benefit plan audit specialists.
We are seeking professionals with audit experience who are interested in building their career specializing in employee benefit plan audits. If you have enjoyed auditing plans but were not given the opportunity to dedicate your career to EBP, this is an opportunity for you. As a member of our EBP team, you will will assist clients across multiple industries keep abreast of their responsibilities as plan sponsors fiduciaries while keeping employees' retirement benefits safe. We have provided EBP audit, tax compliance, and consulting services for more than 40 years. Our 30 partners and 300 professionals audit more than 3,000 plans across the country and provide compliance and consulting services for hundreds more.
How you'll create opportunities in this Experienced Audit Associate role:
Perform a wide range of audit and accounting procedures impacting industry-specific issues.
Audit complex areas/transactions as well as prepare financial statements and related reports.
Develop and train team interns to help them build inspired careers.
Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results.
Perform analytical reviews on financial accounts and identify trends.
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is required.
1+ year of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations is required.
Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm is preferred.

Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range. These same factors may cause starting pay to be below or above the posted range.For New York, the posted range for this role is $68,000 - 94,000.
