The Executive Director, Marketing will lead the development and execution of a strategic vision for the BU to secure and expand Endo’s position in the marketplace. This position is responsible for establishing solid strategic plans, HCP initiatives and tactics, and co-pay assistance and reimbursement to support physician and patient’s needs for XIAFLEX® Dupuytren’s contracture. This leader will manage direct reports in professional promotion, commercial advisory boards, omni-channel marketing and some consumer/caregiver initiatives. Oversees financial objectives, product forecasts, budget, multi-year plans and the P&L for the various therapeutic categories. Provides input into pricing and reimbursement strategy. Responsible for prioritized investment of assets in the portfolio. Leads direction for functional teams/members to execute brand initiatives.
The position will optimize Brands within the Franchise to ensure alignment to both the Franchise and Endo strategies and that all brands are operating effectively to maximize portfolio value.
This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and clear alignment of roles and responsibilities to support products and customers.
Own the development of financial objectives and product forecast for multiple brands, long-term forecasts, budgets and P&Ls.
Sets the direction to maximize franchise value through detailed strategic planning that focuses on patient journeys, proper brand positioning, leverage points for investment and profitable spending to maximize brand value.
Consistently maximizes business growth through the proper allocation of spend against highest return opportunities. Requires an ongoing analysis of the P&L and frequent meetings with finance to adhere to budget objectives across the multiple brands.
Must demonstrate a strong collaborative ability with partners in critical functions to move forward existing business requirements and properly vet new ideas. Must be an active participant in facilitation of meetings that require decisive action.
Elevates Endo’s reputation by building and leveraging external relationships with KOLs, Medical Societies, fellows and key decision-makers. Is comfortable with establishing success metrics that show greater penetration of audiences; higher customer satisfaction and greater appropriate utilization of Endo’s products and services
Hires, trains and develops a top team of marketing professionals that are capable of managing all aspects of their job responsibilities and have the potential to contribute beyond marketing positions. The leader must demonstrate impeccable time/project management to build team relationships and keep abreast of the many moving parts of the team’s professional development. Full and complete goals/objectives must be completed for each individual with ongoing developmental discussions to support growth in competencies.
Supports the team and as needed lead vendor and consultant discussions. Demonstrate clear acumen in agency management including a clear process for performance evaluations and joint feedback sessions.
Collaborates with medical affairs in developing a robust Life Cycle Management process that allows for strategic evaluation of assets to support the portfolio over the next 3-5 yrs.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
BS in Marketing related discipline, MBA preferred.
Product launch experience from pre-launch through launch.
15+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical business with 5+ years’ people management experience. Sales experience preferred.
Proven experience at being able to build processes.
Record of successfully working with commercial, clinical, and supply chain functions.
Knowledge
Deep working knowledge of the pharmaceutical development process and health care environment.
Deep understanding of customer insights, and know how to drive disruptive innovation into the brand.
