Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
Academic Affairs is the central division for implementing the academic mission of the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Through effective academic policies, practices, and programs, it provides leadership for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and creative work as well as service to local, regional, and global communities.
William Madison Randall Library supports the University's mission through the provision of information resources, services and programs relevant to the needs of its students, faculty and staff. It also serves as a rich cultural resource for the surrounding community and the region. Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Executive Assistant provides support to the Associate Provost of Teaching, Learning and Library Services (
TLLS)/Dean of the Library and the Associate Dean of Randall Library through calendar management, event scheduling and coordination, presentation preparation, room reservations and communications as need. In addition, this position will provide management support for the daily operations of Randall Library Admin Suite, along with working on special projects. This position provides administrative support for the
TLLS units (Randall Library, Distance Education and eLearning, and Center for Teaching Excellence) as needed.
The Randall Library Executive Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
Supporting the Dean and Associate Dean of the Library with calendar managementSupporting the Dean and Associate Dean with presentation preparation, catering, room reservations, and communications as neededCompleting special projects at the direction of the Dean and Associate Dean of the Library and executing all aspects of project planningManaging the day-to-day operations of the Library Administration OfficeSupporting library search committees (SHRA,EHRA non-faculty and Library Faculty positions) with logistics including travel arrangements, itineraries, and room reservationsOther duties as assigned to support the Dean, Associate Dean, andTLLSThis position reports to the Associate Provost of Teaching, Learning and Library Services (TLLS)/Dean of the LibraryMinimum Education and Experience Requirements
