  JOB SUMMARY

  The Events Curator recommends, contracts and produces all entertainment, events and exhibits for the property. They work with all departments, communicating the vision and overseeing all operational, financial, promotional and communications aspects. They work with and supervise any consultants, vendors, suppliers and contractors to achieve the project schedule, budget and quality goals for the resort. Produces financial information including Performa’s, ROI for new and existing events, as well as monitoring and analyzing cost reports and preparing the forecast.

  Education and Experience

  University degree, preferably in Business Administration, Hospitality or a related professional area, with at least 5 to 6 years' experience in event curation, preferably in a resort of hotel setting, with a proven track record managing events of different levels of complexity

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal resort teams and collaborators.

  Demonstrated ability to identify suitable collaborations considering brand identity, time, season, and market trends.

  Knowledge of market trends and a commitment to maintaining high event execution standards within a resort.

  Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges and enhance the overall event experience.

  Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced resort environment, adapting to changing priorities.

  Familiarity with event management software and tools.

  Strong focus on driving revenue to the Hotel through a comprehensive Event Calendar made up of a variety of events, collaborations and entertainment.

  Lead the preparation of thorough event documentation, ensuring smooth coordination with resort departments and collaborators for pre, during, and post-event phases.

  Drives room night production and incremental revenues.

  Monitors all operational aspects of projects including set-up, daily schedules, and event management.

  Manages ongoing and daily performance of consultants, vendor, suppliers and contractors to achieve project schedule, budget, and quality goals for the organization.

  Prepares business plan for promotions/events to present to property leadership

  Monitor event collaborations from finding potential collaborators in various industries such as F&B, Culinary, Fashion, Health, Beauty and Fitness to maintaining future connections.

  Identify revenue opportunities by strategically selecting collaborations and events that align with the resort's brand.

  Ensure all events meet resort standards and guidelines, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.

  Participate in site inspections and assist in the next steps process as needed.

  Create and maintain a calendar of events.

  Prepare critical paths involving everyone's roles for successful collaborations.

  Collaborate closely with collaborators to understand specific event requirements, ensuring a personalized approach within the resort setting.

  Stay updated on industry trends to enhance the quality and innovation of hosted events at the resort.

  Work with the various departments within the resort to identify potential clients and contribute to tailored event proposals.

  Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal resort teams for a streamlined event execution process.

  Greet guests during events and facilitate a seamless hand-off to the operations team for execution details.

  Manages the daily activities and performance of the Special Events and Entertainment Staff.

  Serves as liaison with all departmental leaders to coordinate event details, to ensure a high quality customer experience.

  Develops working relationships with outside vendors and establishes prices and service agreements to enhance the event experience and to increase additional revenue opportunities for the property.

  Creates and achieves the Special Events and Entertainments' annual operating budget.

  Focuses on building the property's top line revenue by supporting the execution of the annual Special Events and Entertainment Marketing Plan and providing leadership to the teams on post-contractual upselling efforts.

  Works with all areas in the Special Events and Entertainment division to establish content and pricing.

  Proactive trend searcher, competitor checker to create yearly event calendar in collaborations and partnership with artists, popular & famous figures
