　　Responsibilities

　　The Bereavement Counselor, as a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides counseling, memorializing and group facilitation to families and caregivers of MCHS patients, residents and staff of contracted facilities, and bereaved community clients. The Bereavement Counselor develops bereavement plans of care in collaboration with the team.

　　Qualifications

　　Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related mental health field. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Teaching skills and knowledgeable of adult learning principles. Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with all ages and diversities. Strong organizational and delegation skills. Computer skills using MS Word.1 year related clinical experience in the areas of life-threatening and chronic illness, grief and loss, preferred. Clinical experience in individual, family and group therapy, preferred.

　　Current license/certification or eligible to obtain license or certification.

　　Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record as defined by policy #2250 “Motor Vehicle Requirements.
