Provide temporary shelter, care, compassion, meals, and supervision for up to six Washington State Foster Care youth (10-17 years) and emerging adults (18-20 years) in emergency placement situations for a maximum of 30 days while awaiting placement.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree in social work or a related fieldOR five years of successful related experience (need High School Diploma or GED)One or more years of supervisory experience, preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:21 years of ageProficient in typing, organizing and filingHave some working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other softwareSelf-motivated and work with a minimum of supervisionMaintain confidentiality with personal informationPreferably have knowledge/experience of customer service, social services and local resourcesValid Driver's License with clear driving recordSuccessfully complete TSA Driver TrainingHIPAA TrainingExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal skillsEffectively work with a diverse population in a team environmentAnnual Mandated Reporter trainingHave or obtain a First Aid/CPR cardHave or obtain training on Bloodborne PathogensHave a negative TB test every two yearsPass a Criminal Background CheckPass a DSHS Background CheckProduce a recent negative TB testHave or take de-escalation and restraint trainingFood Handlers permitHIPAA TrainingCapable of auditory and visual supervision; verbally and physically interact with children in carePossess skills/abilities to successfully work with the challenging behaviors of youth in careEffective communication and problem-solving skillsHigh personal standards of cleanliness and thoroughnessBe available to be on-call to cover other shifts during the week; some HolidaysESSENTIAL DUTIES:Assist with preparing monthly staff meeting & trainingsParticipation in lead/management meetingsAbility to manage employees and youth successfully within the program's structureBe able to communicate effectively with professional agencies and administrationPrepare and manage an annual budgetCompile Evangeline's House monthly statistics as directedManage Program Operations Specialists with Program ManagerAssist in development/revisions of program and practicesServe as agency's public awareness representative along with Program ManagerAttend lead meetingsPrepare and present disciplinary actions when neededFill in for staff when necessary; provide relief for staff breaks when necessaryOversee staff schedules, timesheet procedures and breaksKeep Background Check LogKeep track of and maintain records of trainings and certificates for staff.Ensure all required and appropriate paperwork is filedContribute to a positive morale in the programDevelop positive, professional relationships with coworkersSupport new employees/volunteers by explaining the program and policies and proceduresFollow and ensure compliance of all Child Safety policies and proceduresEnsure HIPPA, WAC guidelines, contract, licensing and local policy and procedures complianceModel appropriate social and interpersonal behaviors for youthComply with youth disciplinary guidelinesProper
