Description

　　Growing mid-sized law firm in downtown Chicago is currently seeking an Estate Planning and Probate Litigation Attorney to handle a wide range of estate planning and probate litigation matters. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of trust and estate law, probate litigation, and tax law. They should also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Provide legal advice to clients in all matters relating to estate planning and probate litigation.

　　Draft, review and revise wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives and other estate planning documents.

　　Represent clients in probate litigation proceedings, including contesting and defending wills, trusts and estate administration.

　　Interpret wills and ensure assets are appropriately distributed.

　　Negotiate and resolve conflicts among parties involved in trusts, estates, and probate matters.

　　Conduct legal research, remain updated on current legislation and maintain in-depth knowledge of probate, trust and tax law.

　　Advocate for clients in court and provide support during arbitration and mediation proceedings.

　　Provide guidance on estate and gift tax planning, contractual issues, business succession planning, and charitable giving.
