What You Will Do
We are looking for a Marketing Intern with strong communication and organizational skills to join the Sports Marketing College Networks team supporting ACC Network and SEC Network. Assisting the Marketing team in day-to-day marketing maintenance, creative development and supporting marketing activations are some of the exciting responsibilities. If selected for this role, the intern will report to the Manager, Sports Marketing and will support the team by:
Communicating with Media and creative partners, assisting in the scheduling and delivery of creative materials
Collaborating on marketing efforts with various internal and external stakeholders, including Social Media and Programming
Promotion management and outreach to partner school organizations
Facilitating and assisting in content and footage gathering, music clearances, and creative archive management
Driving creative deliverables and timelines to ensure work is finished, delivered, and trafficked on time
Partnering with team in development of marketing briefs to internal and external partners in support of priority initiatives, content, and creative development from inception to approvals and execution
Working with the Customer Relationship Management team to track performance of all digital media efforts and using key performance metrics in creation of digital campaigns
Required Qualifications & Skills
Previous internship or comparable experience in sports marketing or related field
Solid understanding of college athletics, particularly the ACC and SEC
Cover letter required as part of the application process
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership experience in a professional or organizational role
Marketing and/or channel marketing related experience, particularly with athletics department
Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite
Education
Enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student in an accredited college/university in the semester prior to the internship or graduated within the past 6 months
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Program
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Program Dates : The approximate dates are May 1st - August 18th with an opportunity to start earlier if available. Interns will work 40 hours per week throughout the internship. There may be some flexibility in number of hours based on candidate’s academic schedule.
Work Environment: This internship is based in Charlotte, NC. A limited amount of housing assistance will be provided for those who qualify. Interns will provide their own housing and transportation during the season.
