We continue to grow, and we want you to grow with us.Job Responsibilities as a Consultant in ESG:Support Apex's growing Sustainability and ESG Consulting Services Practice.The Sustainability/ESG Consultant will support the Practice's consultingwork on initiatives including, but not limited to the items listed belowbelow. Successful candidates for this role enjoy math, are comfortableworking with large datasets, and are proficient in performing basicquantitative analysis.* Support and manage a variety of sustainability projects for externalclients.o Support in the evaluation of climate change risks and opportunities andconduct a variety of quantitative policy analyses.o Support Science-Based targets setting, conduct quantitative climatescenario analysis.o Sustainability metrics verification and assurance - manage and conductverification/assurance of corporate sustainability reportingenvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) data under severalstandards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, etc.).o Develop sustainability inventories, such as GHG, water, and waste forstakeholder and public reporting.o Support technical lead in monitoring and communicating developing markettrends, and regulatory changes to clients and internal stakeholders.* Communicate effectively with project teams in a primarily virtualenvironment.* Engage teams across our client's business on multiple ESG topics anddatasets within the same project scope.* Operate independently under the workflow management of senior technicalproject managers on the team.* Organize and maintain project data for record-keeping, internal audit andquality assurance.* Identify, obtain, and maintain credentials as the sustainabilityindustry evolves and to meet client and company needs.Why you'll love working with us:* Company-subsidized medical and dental.* Company-paid life, short, and long-term disability.* 401k match, tuition assistance, and more.* Cross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projects.* Performance-based bonuses or other incentives.* Working with the best and brightest in the industry.* 1,000+ employee national firm with 50+ locations across the US.Qualifications we seek:Apex recognizes that a variety of professional backgrounds can be successfulin this role and encourages candidates who possess many, if not all, ofthe qualifications listed below to apply.* Bachelor's Degree in related field, including but not limited to:Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Geology,Geography, Environmental Science, Data Science, Economics, Business, or Public* Strong quantitative analysis and modelling skills.* Proven experience with climate scenario analysis modelling, Net Zeropathway mapping, and/or Science-Based target development.* Strong communication and technical writing skills.* Ability to successfully balance competing project deadlines.* Experience with data management and report preparation.* Safety awareness and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, pecifically Excel.* Ability to record important information accurately and concisely so that itcan be recalled correctly at a later date.* Travel approximately 5-10%Apex Companies, LLC is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.TO ALL RECRUITMENT AGENCIES: Apex Companies does not accept unsolicitedagency resumes.
