　　The Village of Orland Park Police Department Emergency Services Disaster Agency (ESDA) is looking for motivated individuals to join its ranks as ESDA Personnel.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　Orland Park’s ESDA Personnel perform standard Emergency Operations Center functions and provide assistance for village departments and the Orland Fire Protection District when needed.

　　The Police department provides training for its ESDA Personnel so they’re familiar with our protocols and are well versed in some of the situations they may encounter. You'll be trained on blood borne pathogens/PPE; CPR/AED; emergency vehicle operations; National Incident Management System; hazard materials awareness; severe weather spotting; traffic control; radio communications and standard first aid.

　　ESDA Personnel must be able to respond during emergency and stressful situations, and be able to work as required. Individuals in this role may be placed in situations that require extended periods of heavy physical activity under a variety of environmental conditions.

　　ESDA Personnel work under the general supervision of an ESDA senior officer.

　　Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

　　ESDA Personnel must be age 18 or older and be U.S. Citizens. Those selected for further consideration will be required to submit a copy of their Illinois driver’s license.

　　If selected to fill the position and extended an offer, he/she will be required to submit additional documents during background investigation such as birth certificate, and high school diploma or GED certificate. Those who are selected for this position must pass apost-offerbackground investigation, physical exam and drug screening.

　　Compensation & Benefits

　　ESDA Personnel will work no more than 19 hours per week/ Rate: $24.40 per hour.
