　　Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking multiple experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics (ET3{rel="nofollow"}) who want to utilize their skills to work on a variety of motor vehicles and highway maintenance equipment. The permanent duty station for these positions will be located in Seattle, but they will be temporarily assigned to our maintenance shops throughout Northwest Region at our Bellingham, Mount Vernon, Bellevue, and Kent locations. We are looking for mechanics to perform preventative maintenance, inspection, and other services on all inventoried equipment including passenger vehicles, dump trucks, heavy equipment, and a variety of highway maintenance equipment. This position is critical in ensuring that equipment is ready to roll to keep our highways free of hazards and open to the traveling public year-round. The successful candidates appointed to these unique positions will serve vital roles in support of WSDOT's mission to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation options to improve communities and economic vitality.
