What is an Equipment Repair Technician?
The Equipment Repair Technician will perform routine activities involved in preparing the inbound and outbound rental units by cleaning, testing, troubleshooting and packaging. Perform a variety of manual tasks such as testing parts, deburring parts, painting, assisting in material handling or assembly operations etc. Assist OFS salespeople with any field requirements, including new and old system troubleshooting and repair.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have three or more years of related manufacturing experience with mechanical experience with pumps, motors, vales, and fluid dynamics. A basic understanding of pumps, motors and valves is highly preferred. The hours for this position are 7:00 am-3:30 pm Monday through Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of materials and inventory.Visually inspect product to ensure that the product has not been damaged after return from customer.Use the power washer for cleaning units upon their return.Effectively assemble and hydro test the products for qualified area.Inspect, test and/or evaluate all parts manufactured in the specific area and perform quality-related analysis.Perform routine preventative maintenance as required to maintain equipment in top operational order.Use hand tools, power tools, testing instruments, and written specifications to troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and maintain a wide variety of rental units and their controls.May track inventory to prepare other documentation on a computer.Effectively perform material handling activities such as crating, packaging, shipping receiving, picking, lifting, moving and using materials handling equipment when necessary. (Such as: lift trucks, tow motors, cranes, high lifts, etc.)Utilize small and large tools, hoists, dollies, and other devices when necessary.Understand basic hydraulics and lubrication fundamentals.Understand operating principles for components of reclamation and equipment and operate the equipment effectively with little or no supervision.Flexible to travel and visit customer locations for on-site services.Comply with all safety procedures in each area assigned, including but not limited to, wearing protective clothing, special handling of chemicals, special handling of product, safety/rescue equipment usage, etc.Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.Required Experience and Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
