  DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis is a skilled position operating heavy-duty trucks and equipment in the construction, maintenance and repair of state forest roads, trails, boundaries and facilities in the Gallitzin Forest District. As an Equipment Operator B, you will operate CDL "A" rated trucks and combinations, snow groomers, and heavy equipment, which includes graders, track loaders, bulldozers and backhoes during the construction, maintenance and repair of state forest roads, trails and facilities. You will also perform manual tasks, which includes the operation of hand tools and use of portable power tools, as well as  perform routine service, preventative, and some repair maintenance on assigned equipment.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time seasonal employment.Work schedule is:Monday - Wednesday:  7:00 AM to 5:00 PMThursday: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM ThursdayFriday: Off

  QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A; orTwo years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; orAny equivalent combination of experience or training.

  Necessary Special Requirement:This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.

  Conditions of Employment:This position requires possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
