  DESCRIPTION OF WORK

  As an Equipment Operator B (Seasonal) - Clear Creek Forest, you will use equipment and vehicles which require a Class A Commercial Driver's License and perform manual work in the construction and maintenance of state forest infrastructure, forest fire protection, and other duties related to Clear Creek Forest District operations. You will perform vital work assisting with wildland fire prevention, pre-suppression, and suppression activities as well as general work projects, maintenance and repair work, and safety checks and inspections. You may also have the opportunity to serve as lead worker directing a small crew and demonstrating the operation of assigned equipment to other employees.   Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  This is a seasonal, full-time position without benefits. The season runs from approximately March until November at which the employee is placed on leave without pay.Work hours will vary:

  Regular: Monday - Wednesday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Thursday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch, Friday off.Fire Season: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONS

  Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A; orTwo years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; orAny equivalent combination of experience or training.Necessary Special Requirements:
