About EPC Manager - Transmission & Distribution (Chicago)

  Description

  We are seeking to hire a Project Manager within our Transmission and Distribution Global Practice in our Chicago, Illinois regional office.

  Directs and coordinates bidding, negotiation, and project execution activities of several disciplines on engineer, procure, construct (EPC) projects of moderate to large scope or a combination of smaller EPC projects.

  Duties include direct coordination with Transmission and Distribution clients, contractors, material suppliers, and other external stakeholders.

  Additional responsibilities include supervision and coordination of multidiscipline engineering, permitting, procurement, and construction management teams.

  Responsible for overall project management, project planning, scheduling, resource management, budgeting and establishing and meeting critical project objectives.

  Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems.

  Identify opportunities and manage team efforts for submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiation, and related activities.

  Other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field from an accredited curriculum is preferred.

  Minimum 7 years related experience, including 3 or more years managing engineer, procure, and construct projects.

  Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of project-related matters.

  Proven ability to develop business and establish relationships with clients.

  Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.

  Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  The ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change.

  Demonstrated success in project management.

  Proficiency in the use of basic computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  Professional Engineer (PE) and Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.EEO/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans
