  Job Description:

  Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to work on a long-term, large-scale remediation project at the Giant Mine Site.

  This is a Yellowknife, Northwest Territories based role. Local Candidates Preferred but open to candidates willing to relocate to Yellowknife, NT.

  Parsons is the Construction Manager of the Giant Mine Remediation Project. This is a world class remediation project using innovative methods to deliver a safe environment. The project is expected to last over 10 years and is located just outside the City of Yellowknife, NWT.

  What You'll Be Doing:

  Field and office duties associated with the environmental program at Giant Mine

  Maintains documentation in record logs

  Inspecting work areas for environmental regulatory compliance daily and weekly

  Conducting regulatory audits of subcontractors and work activities (desktop and field audit)

  Communicating corrective actions to subcontractors

  Overseeing construction and sampling activities daily

  Review of subcontractor environmental submittals

  Maintaining environmental information logs

  What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Geoscience, Engineering or closely related field from an accredited institution

  3+ years of related work experience

  Must have a valid drivers license and capable of driving light duty vehicles

  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  Strong written and verbal communication skills

  Must be a team player
