Description
Completes responsibilities as assigned, or directed, accurately and in a timely manner. Duties include but are not limited to dust mopping, damp mopping, reconditioning floors, spot washing walls, general cleaning of resident/patient rooms (beds, blinds, furniture, etc.), dusting, washing and polishing all wooden and metal furniture, disposing of rubbish according to specific waste stream, cleaning the restrooms (toilets, mirrors, counter tops, sinks, etc.) and restocking supplies, as necessary.
Escorts resident/patients within the Medical Center to and from via appropriate mode of transportation (e.g., wheelchair, bed and stretcher). Ensures that task documentation is available before transport takes place (i.e. Ticket-To-Ride, medical file). Validates resident/patient by using 2 identifiers before transport takes place (i.e. name and date of birth). Assists Nursing with lifting resident/patient, when requested
Distributes and stocks clean linen storage areas per established par levels. Receives delivery of and monitors clean linen from outside vendor. Weigh or count materials for quantity accuracy. Retrieves soiled linens from designated areas.
Participates in mandatory educational and in-service programs.
