In performing such duties,an Environmental Scientist II will conduct research or performinvestigations for the purpose of identifying, abating, or eliminatingsources of pollutants or hazards that affect either the environment orthe health of the population. Utilizing his/her knowledge of variousscientific disciplines, he/she may collect, synthesize, study, report,and take action based on data derived from measurements or observationsof air, food, soil, water, and other sources. The successful candidatewill apply scientific methodology for analysis of risk assessments andindustrial hygiene applications to ensure client\'s expectations aremet. All Environmental Scientist IIs shall maintain a response bag withrequired Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and appropriate clothingand be subject to on-call rotation 24/7 for emergency response andfrequent, extended travel.

  Vaccination against Covid-19 is strongly preferred. All employees willbe subject to policies and procedures of the Company that may bedependent on vaccination status.

  Job Type: Full-time

  Pay Range: \$35,100-\$54,700 (commensurate with experience)

  Immediate availability for extended travel and emergency response atclient\'s request;Maintain, calibrate and mobilize equipment appropriate for anemergency response;Gather and analyze samples from various sources of potentialcontamination;Perform monitoring and sampling activities with minimal supervision;Compile, review and summarize scientific/technical data andliterature; and,Perform such other duties as assigned.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  Bachelor\'s degree in Biology, Environmental Engineering,Environmental, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry,Chemical Engineering, Toxicology or other related science.Three to five years of experience in a related field may besubstituted in lieu of a degree.Advanced computer skills in a Windows-based platform is a must.SMART Performance Measures

  Possession of or ability to complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training inaccordance with 29 CFR 1910.120 within 3 months of hire date;Possession of/ability to complete DISA & TWIC clearances within 3months of hire date;Completion of all CTEH designated safety requirements within 3months of hire date; andOthers to be determined.PROFESSIONAL SKILLS/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;Ability to respond in a timely manner to all communications fromhis/her supervisor;Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationshipswithin a matrix reporting structure;Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions; and,Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in theEnglish language.Current, valid, and unrestricted driver\'s licenseAbility to obtain a passportAbility to comply with all job specific OSHA requir ments, includingthe wear of a respiratorPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  Sitting, standing, and walking

  Lifting up to 50 pounds several times a day

  Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds

  Bending, stooping, climbing ladders and crawling

  Long hours involving overtime and weekends as necessary

  Ability to read effectively from a computer screen, sampling deviceand/or a paper copy

  Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in afast-paced environment
