Position Overview:
Performs skilled analysis, design, support, implementation, and project management activities. Defines technical and user requirements in addition to supporting business solutions for Sutter Health's Affiliates. Develops specifications according to established standards and procedures, in a timely manner, while adhering to project management/control plans.
Job Description :
This role has a work from home opportunity. Candidate must be available to come on site for work in Sacramento and live in the Northern California Sutter Footprint.
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Information Management, or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Working knowledge of health care operations and structure, department-specific policies and procedures and workflows, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of information systems applications in the practicing health care environment.
General understanding of data structures and database transaction/analytical/relational database models.
Effective knowledge in data warehouse and decision support strategies, including current knowledge of the best practice to utilize technology when designing systems and implementing applications, as well as concepts of data standardization, data dictionaries, and data administration.
Good business acumen and advanced analytic skills, including the ability to analyze data and information, reach practical conclusions, recommend corrective actions, resolve conflicts, and institute effective changes.
Solid organizational and project management skills required, including the demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and complete deliverables.
Attention to detail with time management and organization skills, including attention to detail, clear documentation, diagnostic capabilities and problem solving skills.
Communication (written/verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills to explain complex technical, issues, or solutions clearly and professionally to diverse audiences and all levels of internal and external constituencies.
Robust computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Visio or other flowcharting tool, Microsoft Project, Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Use project management and other professional software tools to successfully support software analysis and development.
Quickly understand and perform thorough business applications and technical functions analysis and development of Sutter Health’s current business applications.
Write design specifications for software and hardware, modify existing documentation, and create process flow diagrams.
Analyze possible solutions using precedents, existing departmental guidelines and policies, experience and good judgment to identify and solve standard problems.
Work independently, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and be able to act as a team leader when necessary.
Prioritize and manage multiple activities for environmental risk projects and objectives in a rapidly changing environment while delivering a high quality product.
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure the privacy of each patient’s Protected Health Information (PHI) as well as the confidentiality of all privacy and risk management data.
Build cross-functional relationships with health care application users, vendors, and technical professionals to ensure successful development of solutions.

Pay Range is $42.98 to $64.47 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
