About the Position: This position is located with the US Installation Management Command, US Army Garrison Fort McCoy, Directorate of Public Works, Environmental Division at Ft. McCoy, WI. Responsibilities Research, analyze, interpret, and advise on higher headquarters, Federal, State, and local environmental laws, regulations, and directives. Apply knowledge of environmental protection principles, practices, regulations, policies, and procedures to identify problems and recommend solutions. Conduct meetings with installation staff; federal, state, and local regulatory agencies; community groups; and other concerned groups regarding assigned environmental programs. Establish, and ensure execution of, program tasks to ensure regulatory compliance for the installation/agency for assigned programs. Accurately draft, revise, edit, and finalize environmental documents such as permits, plans, standard operating procedures, reports, or similar documents according to established standards for assigned environmental programs. Develop, review, and provide input for contracts and designs. Advise management on all aspects of environmental programs within the assigned areas of work. Develop short and long-range plan program goals for environmental compliance. Collaborate with a wide variety of personnel in a manner that promotes teamwork and productivity.
