Aboveall, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesBe an active team member for Environmental Planning projects - Potential to bea Deputy Project Manager on Environmental AssessmentsProvide technical NEPA writing for technical sections of environmentalplanning documents and peer review of some document sectionsWork on several projects concurrentlyOccasional travel within and outside of the U.S. to military installations anddefense contractor facilitiesCollect project-related data, which may include research, interviews withgovernment agencies and clients, map reviews, field investigations, etc.Conduct environmental impact assessmentsAssist in preparation for and participation in public information meetings andhearingsAssist public and private clients with permit coordination, acquisition,and compliance for wetland impacts, bridge construction, andthreatened/endangered speciesPerform other duties as needed*LI-MJ1QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or aclosely related fieldMinimum 5 years of technical and/or field experience preparing environmentaldocuments, specifically NEPA reportsAbility to obtain a Secret ClearanceProficient with MS Office (Word, Excel)Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skillsStrong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and research abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant in ouremployee-owned culturePreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in a related fieldNEPA document development experiencePreference is given to local candidatesWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also aboutwhat you do and how you do it.
