About Environmental, Health & Safety Senior Manager

  Position Overview

  Reporting to the site Quality Director, the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Senior Manager will provide advice, guidance and management on all matters relating to Environment, Health, Safety & Security for Coca-Cola Ballina to ensure a safe and healthy workplace, and enable compliance with local regulations and standards. This position is based at Coca-Cola Ballina, Co. Mayo ad is a plant based role.

  What You'll Do for Us

  Drive projects to actively promote a culture of Safety and Environmental awareness, excellence and continuous improvement.

  Construct and manage annual improvement plans for EHS, and implement in conjunction with departmental management teams.

  Bring to the attention of management new legislation, codes of practice, and any other matters affecting safety, health and welfare.

  Provide technical guidance on establishing root cause analysis and Incident Management and Crisis Resolution (IMCR) at site level and accross the CPS network.

  Develop specific site Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Site Induction and Safe Systems of Work plant and on-site contractors

  Develop injury and illness prevention plan, communicate and enforce plant safety policy, establish responsibilities and accountabilities on safety performance.

  Organise safety committee meetings and liaise with elected department safety representatives regarding matters of safety, health and welfare.

  Implement emergency and incident management plans and co-ordinate with onsite management and off site emergency services, lead COMAH inspections.

  Develop and conduct training programs on Health & Safety, Security and Environment.

  Liaison and maintenance of relationships with external stakeholders and local and national authorities.

  Implement safety standards management program i.e. hazards communication program, confined space entry, personal protective equipment, laboratory hygiene plan.

  Carry out internal auditing & inspection of the EHS system to ensure continuous improvement of the system.

  Protect The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) Assets & prevent losses arising from incidents due to safety, environmental or security issues

  Manage operation of Wastewater Plant to support business and in compliance with all Regulatory & company requirements

  Support & implementation of projects relating to materials, machine guarding, security systems, and other items covered under Engineering Change Control process.

  Input to maintenance of plant security and fire protection systems, facility security and fire protection systems, including environmental and safety requirements.

  Qualifications & Requirements

  Degree in Safety/OHS Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related areas.

  Related work experience in Technical/Quality beverage or food industry in EHS.

  Experience of managing teams and working with associates & managers.

  Experienced in dealing with external stakeholders such as regulatory and local authorities.

  Project management knowledge and experience essential.

  Risk management, mitigation, and communication experience & skills.

  Exceptional ability to translate scientific, technological concepts to relevant business insights and growth opportunities.
