Your Role The Environmental, Health and SafetyTechnician at MilliporeSigma monitors waste inventories, coordinates theshipping of waste materials, prepares hazardous waste related paperworkand reports, ensuring compliance with various regulatory agencies andperforms administrative duties for the EH&S group in Milwaukee. Thisposition is responsible to coordinate with multiple sites in Wisconsin.Job duties include: * Coordinates the shipping of all hazardous wasteto the appropriate destination. * Prepares and coordinates with wastevendors all the necessary manifests and shipping documentation. *Coordinates with waste disposal vendors, prepare waste profiles and getsapprovals on time. * Consolidates and submits lab pack inventory sheetsfor pre-approval by the Treatment, Storage & Disposal Facility (TSDF).* Maintains waste container logs and RCRA training files of the ESemployees. * Coordinates with ES operators to make sure corrections aremade to approved lab pack inventories. * Conducts weekly RCRAinspections for the site and make sure all the containers are properlymarked and labeled, check containers for integrity and accumulationdate. * Monitors that hazardous waste containers do not accumulate morethan 90 days * Prepares recovery drums for customers following allgovernment regulations and proper handling procedures, which alsorequire instructions to the customers to return the recovery drumthrough various shipping carriers according to DOT regulations. *Answers customer questions regarding recovery drums and advise hazardousmaterials are packaged and shipped according to DOT regulations. *Prepares Purchase Requisitions in SAP for both Milwaukee and SheboyganEH&S groups and coordinate with Procurement to get the purchase orderson time, ensuring the supplies and services are delivered withoutaffecting the EH&S operations. * Sorting of incoming waste materials byhazard class. * Makes sure Universal waste containers and biologicalwaste containers are properly marked and labeled. * Conducts monthlysafety inspections when assigned. * Conducts weekly mandatory RCRAhazardous waste inspections * Schedules hazardous, non-hazardous,biohazardous and universal waste shipments * Maintains leaker/spilldata in SAP for Quality Assurance and Packaging Engineering groups Whoyou are: Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor\'s Degree in EnvironmentalScience, Environmental Engineering, or Chemistry Or * High SchoolDiploma or GED * 4+ years of work experience in hazardous waste and/orenvironmental science Preferred Qualifications: * 4+ years ofexperience in environmental compliance * 1 + year ofoffice/administrative experience * Strong knowledge of chemistry andDOT regulations or familiarity with hazardous waste (RCRA regulations)* Ability to operate various hand tools, lift table, pallet lift,pallet mule, and fork truck. * Ability to read, edit, and draft SOPs *Excellent organizational skills What we offer: We are curious minds thatcome from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and To view thefull job description please use the link below.https://www.aplitrak.com/?adid=YmJnZW5lcmljLjM5NDc2Ljg3NzBAZW1kbWlsbGlwb3JlY29tcC5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online https://www.aplitrak.com/?adid=YmJnZW5lcmljLjM5NDc2Ljg3NzBAZW1kbWlsbGlwb3JlY29tcC5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20
