Hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist for a major industrial manufacturer based in New Haven County, CT. This is a permanent, full time opportunity that provides competitive benefits, growth, and stability.

　　Description:

　　This company is looking for an EH+S specialist to spearhead safety protocols within their manufacturing setting.

　　This person will be in charge of evaluating current compliance, role out of training programs, training procedures, putting together safety committees, and owning the whole process of implementing and encouraging EH+S goals.

　　They will be identifying safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards; recommending corrective actions and advising management of actions needed/taken.

　　Provides oversight for workers’ compensation, including incident investigation and correction action, and ownership of recordable and lost-time accident reporting.

　　Manages relationships and communications with regulatory bodies and ensures compliance with regulatory reporting.

　　Compiles reports for senior leadership on EHS management systems, operational scorecards, and annual regulatory filings.

　　Responsible for maintaining reporting cadence to both leadership and internal stakeholders via daily, weekly, and monthly business updates.

　　Must Haves:

　　3+ years of experience working as an EH+S Specialist

　　Experience working in a manufacturing setting

　　OSHA 10 or 30
