The Environmental Health and Safety(EHS) Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day environmental, healthand safety functions at an assigned location. This includes, but is notlimited to, implementing the organization\'s safety program, workingwith personnel to maintain a safe and healthy work environment,monitoring the facility and processes for adherence to OSHA, EPA,Wisconsin DNR, DOT, and other local regulations and guidelines.Additionally, this role is responsible for the elimination of industrialincidents, conducting environmental monitoring and reporting, providingassistance with environmental permit applications, and assisting withinternal EHS audits for the facility. This position works closely withcross-functional teams throughout the facility and leads the pursuit ofzero incidents. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: RegulatoryCompliance Monitoring and Reporting Serve as the primary hazardous wasteSME, leading efforts to reduce hazardous waste and implement recyclingprograms. Direct industrial hygiene sampling and support. Manage thefacility EHS program. Manage and perform the planning, training,inspection, reporting and recordkeeping requirements for allenvironmental and safety compliance programs. Supporting StrategicInitiatives Provide engaging environmental, health, and safetyleadership to the facility employees; Lead Employee Safety Committees;Develop and support strategic initiatives designed to produce best inclass EHS performance; Act as the facility champion for the EHS Drive toZero programs. Worksite Analysis Conduct facility audits to be used toensure that consistent, best-in-class results and compliance arefollowed to enable operational excellence. Prepare reports of findingswith recommendations for corrective action. Conduct and document monthlyfacility inspections of hazardous waste accumulation/chemical storageareas. Perform Job Safety Analysis of all facility worksite activitiesand lead actions for controls and countermeasures.
