Responsibilities
Recognized as an expert individual contributor, the Sales Director isresponsible for operationalizing the sales strategy within designatedarea/accounts. This role generates new sales and add-on sales revenuethrough the creation of unique and compelling value propositions, messagingand positioning documents, and presentations that align CSG with ourcustomers' go-to-market strategies and that position CSG as the preferredprovider in our target markets. The Sales Director identifies large andcomplex opportunities within new and existing account bases to increase salesvolume through both products and services while ensuring customer servicelevels are met. Driven to meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and goals forcustomers located within a defined geographic territory or account list,this role prospects and develops business, responds to RFPs, and developsproposals for presentation to customers. Coordinate account resources withrepresentatives from marketing, soluti on consulting, and development.
Design, build, and implement strategies that enhance business performancein CSG's target markets within new and existing account bases.Demonstrate thought leadership in the creation of effective strategies thatwill overcome significant objections and successfully secure significantresource investments into CSG with both products and services.Through prospecting, cold calling, and relationship building, drive andsupport sales opportunities within new and existing accounts and workcollaboratively with internal resources as needed to ensure success ofimplementation to the customer.Teach customers unique insights about how our products can help them competein the marketplace and deliver ROI, tailor messaging to each decision-makeracross the organization, and influence the sales process while overcomingobjections and customer aversion.Develop strong advocates and relationships across the customer organizationthat can assist with building consensus on behalf of CSG.Lead the sales process to include the following activities: Creation,presentation, and sales of a complete value proposition, negotiation,pricing, and contractual terms, the development, writing, and deliveryof sales proposals and RFPs, and through the negotiation of a commercialagreemTrack economic and industry trends as well as competitive threats andunderstand its implications on customer business with both existing and newtarget accounts.Shares knowledge and insights with both internal and external colleagues.Must be able to travel up to and exceeding 50% of the time to conductproduct discussion and demonstrations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, related field or equivalent experienceProficiency in English in a business environment10+ years of experience in sales of software products and services5+ years of formal field sales experience in SaaS based technologies whichinclude financial services and merchant processingExpert ability to identify, qualify, and prioritize prospects withdemonstrated results while leveraging SME to gain credibility with keyprospectExecutive level presence with the maturity and strategic planning experienceto lead large, complex sales opportunities
