Job Description:
As an IT Asset Manager at Crowe, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and equipment. You will play a crucial role in optimizing costs, maintaining compliance, and maximizing the value of our IT investments.
Key Responsibilities1. Inventory Management:
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all IT assets.
Track the movement, allocation, and disposal of assets.
Procurement and Budgeting:Collaborate with procurement teams to acquire IT assets within budget.
Assist in budget planning and cost optimization related to IT assets.
License Management:Manage software licenses, ensuring compliance and cost-efficiency.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
Vendor Relationships:Establish and maintain relationships with IT asset vendors.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.
Asset Lifecycle Management:Plan for the replacement and retirement of outdated IT assets.
Implement processes for data sanitization and secure disposal.
Compliance and Reporting:Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Generate reports on asset utilization, costs, and compliance.
Risk Management:Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT assets.
Implement security measures to protect sensitive data on assets.
Documentation:Maintain comprehensive records of asset details, including warranties and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as an IT Asset Manager or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of IT asset management best practices.
Knowledge of software licensing and compliance.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in IT asset management (e.g., ITAM, SAM, APM, or related certifications).
Experience with the ServiceNow IT Asset Management system
Project management skills for asset-related initiatives.
