　　Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil - marks the first Hyatt Place hotel in Malaysia. Located in Bukit Jalil, an affluent suburb located within the southern corridor of Kuala Lumpur, the hotel features 250 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, large Ballroom, 4 meeting rooms and flexible event space, Rooftop restaurant, a fitness centre, and a sky pool.

　　We are currently looking for a Host - Engineering to join us as we continue to embark this exciting journey with the hotel. This position reports to the hotel Maintenance & Security Manager. This position is exclusively available to individuals with Malaysian citizenship only.

　　You will assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Host - Engineering is responsible to assist in the smooth and efficient running of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating departments.

　　Customer Service

　　Provides a courteous and professional service at all times.

　　Handles guest and associate enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow-up.

　　Assists with Host duties as requested and required due to operational needs.

　　Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

　　Operational

　　Works closely with other colleagues in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.

　　Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.

　　Carries out and completes all maintenance works/requests according to the established schedule and ensures high quality of finishing work.Pays particular attention to guest related jobs.

　　Takes an active role in resolving maintenance issues for both guest and associate areas, resolving those issues which can be dealt with immediately and reporting those which require specialist skill.

　　Operates assigned machines/ equipment or “Primary Plant” as to provide continuous and consistent utilities required for operations

　　Handles the verification, storage and utilisation of all fuel deliveries to the premises as per the established policy and procedures.

　　Avoids unsightly hazards and complies with all local regulations and codes.

　　Properly handles and maintains all power tools.

　　Submits request to the Lead Host – Security/ Maintenance for the purchases of parts and consumables.

　　Ensures cleanliness of all work areas and protects the surroundings when executing duties.

　　Ensures effective energy conservation measures in areas of operations .

　　Ensures fire, life and safety systems are operational.

　　Performs emergency procedures relating to fire, life and safety; e.g., such as attending to fire alarms, lift rescue.

　　Ensures timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.

　　Reports any abnormal conditions noticed at any time in line with safety related equipment or installation to Team Leader – Security and Maintenance and/or the Manager on Duty.

　　Assists other Hosts with duties throughout the hotel when requested by Supervisors

　　Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required.

　　Completes Welcome to Hyatt Training for new Hires and Learning Activities within first 90 days and review as needed.

　　Reads the hotel's Associate Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to computer resources, fire, hygiene, health and safety.

　　Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.

　　Responds to changes in the maintenance function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.

　　Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

　　Position is ranked as “Host” with related benefits provided.Qualifications:

　　Holder of an official trade certificate or diploma in engineering, with minimum of 2 years work experience as engineer in hotel or in a similar large building/complex with central plant.
