Your Day to Day:
Boiler System Maintenance and Repairs
Conduct regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of the hotel's boiler systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting boilers to ensure efficient operation and minimize the risk of breakdowns.
Diagnose and troubleshoot boiler system issues, promptly addressing and resolving problems to minimize disruptions and downtime.
Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs or boiler system upgrades, adhering to budget guidelines and quality standards.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed.
Financial
Assist in developing and managing budgets for boiler system maintenance, repairs, and energy consumption.
Identify cost-saving opportunities related to energy efficiency, equipment lifespan, and operational practices, while ensuring guest comfort is maintained.
Monitor and analyse energy consumption data and usage patterns to optimize boiler system efficiency.
Conduct regular reviews of maintenance contracts and supplier agreements to optimize value and negotiate competitive pricing.
Guest Experience
Respond promptly and effectively to guest complaints or concerns related to heating and hot water systems, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
Collaborate with other hotel departments to address guest issues and ensure a seamless experience throughout their stay.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure adequate heating and hot water availability.
Provide guidance and support to housekeeping and maintenance staff to maintain efficient boiler system usage, promoting guest comfort.
Responsible Business
Adhere to all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations to ensure compliance within the workplace.
Implement environmentally friendly practices, promoting energy efficiency, waste reduction, and responsible resource management.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in boiler systems to ensure continuous improvement.
What we need from you:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional technical certifications in boiler systems preferred.
Proven experience as a boiler technician, preferably in a hospitality or similar setting.
Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of boilers, including steam and hot water systems.
Knowledge of boiler safety regulations and systems, including pressure vessels, controls, and associated components.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to efficiently work with guests, colleagues, and external contractors/vendors.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or in a team environment.
Understanding of financial principles and budget management.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable practices in boiler operations.
