The successful candidate will be responsible for running the operations of the office including the formulation of business, marketing, and strategic planning. The successful candidate will also serve as the local officer and will be primarily responsible for advancing the office growth and profitability of JMT through Industry Leadership, Advocacy, and Business Development. Additionally, the Office Leader is responsible for management of all operations, including supervision of office staff and close coordination with Eastern, PA offices and Eastern PA Area Manager.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesMaintain existing and develop new clientsMaintain close liaison with clients to resolve project questionsResponsible for the monitoring and management of work-in-process, billings, monitoring of outstanding accounts receivable and initial collection efforts for projectsForecast administrative, staffing, and facility needs for officeReview the design and production work of the staff to ensure that it meets the highest professional standards and is in conformance with company standardsStrive continually to see that work is completed on time and within allocated budgetCoordinate with JMT Senior Management the performance of the branch officeCoordinate and carry out the marketing and financial objectives and policies established by the Board of DirectorsCoordinate assignment of manpower with main office in timely forecast of project needsCarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the firm's policies and applicable lawsInterview, hire, train, assign and directing work, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problemsMaintain professional licensure in the state of residence and be responsible for supervising production of construction documents, facility studies, and architectural/engineering reportsSeal/sign construction documentsNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assigned
Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringRegistered Professional Engineer in office state15+ years of industry experience including supervisory, project management, and business developmentExperience with PENNDOT, District 5 and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike CommissionPreferred ExperienceMasters degree in Civil Engineering or Business Administration preferredWorking ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.
