What will you do?
In this role, you will be responsible for generating assembly, layout, and detailed shop drawings for equipment and parts sold by our sales team. You will also be required to generate item bills of material, select raw materials, stock parts & purchased components, and plan out shop routing.
Responsibilities:
Work in Microsoft AX, creating items, BOM’s & Routes
Review BOMs and production routes prior to Engineering QC
Communicate with sales, purchasing, and manufacturing to ensure our customers’ needs are met
Help troubleshoot issues as they arise
Verify material and component allocations in AX and Item 360
Drafting general arrangement drawings
Work closely with our sales department and production
Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications:
University/College Degree in a Mechanical designation or equivalent experience
1-2 years of design/drafting experience, preferably in the bulk material handling, industrial & custom steel fabrication industry
Must have manufacturing environment experience (Ex: planning)
A fundamental understanding of raw materials (Ex: sheet, plate, pipe/tube, round bar)
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English
Organized with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Strong multitasking skills
Ability to work in a team setting
Ability to use and wear personal protective equipment
Punctual, responsible, and reliable
Strong mechanical aptitude
Possess strong computer skills, with emphasis on ERP systems, Windows AX system experience is a plus
Computer proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory), Inventor (mandatory) & Solid Edge (asset)
Ability to adhere to set standards
