Position Summary:

We are seeking candidates with an engineering degree to work as Distribution Design Engineers on Energy Distribution projects.

These engineers will be trained by high level distribution engineers.

The role involves performing engineering calculations, including structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices.

Responsibilities also include preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, development of a BOM, and estimating costs.

All projects are related to electric power distribution and leadership, specifically make-ready and smart antenna tasks.

The role is predominantly remote work with design development and coordination, while also involves fieldwork after several months on the job.

Field Work Territory:

West Michigan - Muskegon/Fremont Required Skills:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar

0.5-2 years of experience in Power Delivery, utility or electrical design is preferred

Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software

Proven experience in Problem-solving, Effective Communication, Judgment in Resolving Problems, Routine Recommendations/Feedback
